The school was honoured to welcome our Guest of Honour, Mr Lim Guan Yu, A.P.A.C. Chief Engineer at KX Services, First Derivative/E.P.A.M., and President of the Changkat Changi Secondary School Alumni Association, to grace the occasion. A proud alumnus, his journey from Changkat to where he stands today embodies what the school stands for. Our Principal, Mr Kwok Ying Liang, shared stories of students who have gone above and beyond in service, in sport, and in their pursuit of excellence. Mr Lim's address that followed was equally inspiring, leaving students and guests with much to reflect on.

The Concert Band then took to the stage, performing 'Choose Joy' by Randall Standridge, a piece inspired by a young student who chose to find joy in the face of adversity. Their performance was warmly received, and carried added significance as the band prepares to make their debut at the Asia Pacific Band Festival.
The ceremony honoured students who excelled at the 2025 GCE O-Level, N(A)-Level and N(T)-Level examinations, with prizes presented across individual subjects and special scholarships. The LCS Ji Yang Education Award, Neo Choon Tiong Scholarship, Qaisara Scholarship for Student Leadership and Ivy Ho Arts Bursary Award were among the accolades presented to deserving recipients.
A highlight of the afternoon was the valedictory address by Rico Tan Jun Hong of 4B (2025), the Overall Best Student of the 2025 cohort. As Student Council President, national-level Track and Field athlete, and recipient of multiple academic prizes, Rico exemplified the Changkat spirit of being resilient, service-oriented and purpose-driven. His words resonated deeply with the audience, offering an inspiring close to the prize presentations.
The 60th Annual Speech and Prize-Giving Day was a proud celebration of our school community of students who strived, teachers who guided, and families who supported them. As we continue our anniversary year, the ceremony reminded us of what has always driven Changkat: the belief that excellence is nurtured over time, together.
